Dare to Bare

Isn’t it funny, how the term “bare”, which somehow coincides with freedom, is often the most restricted thought in our lives? If we somehow gather the confidence to act upon it, we become “shameless”, “uncultured”, “messed up”, “wrong” around the people we value the most? Be it friends, family, relatives, society.

Dare to Bare your Kindness- for that will make you significant and someone to be remembered by, even when you’re not anymore. We are scared to be generous because unfortunately, we live in a world where people make you feel that you’re foolish or naive to be kind enough. Compassion is one of the best traits for a human being, and I feel lucky to be bare with my kindness, and luckier to know that there are people who’d reciprocate to it.

Dare to Bare your Emotions- for that will make your life and relations more stable and happy with people. We often land in situations where we dislike certain things, but we won’t speak our mind, because we’re afraid of hurting our friend(s). Again, easier said than done, but clarity is of extreme importance in any relation, and if that hampers your bond, it would mean that you do not deserve those people around you. Vulnerability around the right people just makes you stronger as a person, because they’d support you unconditionally.

Dare to Bare your Skin- for that will make you comfortable in your own body. I have no agenda against anyone who loves make-up because I love it too. But why is it a compulsion to be dolled up every time you step out of the house? I mean, of course, we love to get all decked up and get good pictures, but haven’t we come far from actually enjoying our time to saving memories in our phones? There are days when you’d just want to hang loose in your PJ’s and oversized t-shirts and wear shorts, without being waxed. So, dare to bare your blemishes, your body hair, your skin texture, your scars, your cleavage, your legs, because they make you uniquely beautiful in your way.

Dare to Bare your Choices- for that will make you independent in the truest sense. Have the courage to take chances, over and over again, for they will make you stronger and humbler towards the others around you. Have the courage to take stand for your loved ones.

Dare to Bare your Lending Ears- for that will create a better understanding with people around you. Learn to listen patiently, only then you can support or assist the other person.

Dare to Bare your Writing- for it will enlighten people, or give a new perspective to a generic thought. I have always written for myself, and in time I realised, that what if my words could create the slightest difference in even 1 person’s life? Speak your thoughts upfront- for everything is subjective, and what’s important is that we learn and cherish everyone’s subjectivity.

Minimal is phenomenal!
